Hardware
A Specialist Working Party on Hardware, including locks, safes, grills, bollards etc is in the process of being formed to develop appropriate standards to cover these categories. Applications range from residential to commercial to banking institutions.
The Specialist Working Party will define the scope which may include; cash/deposit/day boxes, door and cupboard locks, gun and drug cabinets, fire-resistant data protection, fire-resistant, document protection, home and office safes, key cabinets and key safes, garage locks, keypad locks, padlocks, patio bolts for doors, push locks for windows, grills, bollards etc.
The intent is to develop internationally aligned New Zealand standards.
