Police Act Review Update
Please find linked a short update on the Police Act Review. The presentation and .pdf document provide a high-level summary of the Review's progress during 2006, and an indicative time-table for the build-up to the release of a wide-ranging public discussion document in mid-2007 entitled 'Policing Directions in New Zealand for the 21st Century', and an exposure draft of the new Policing Bill at the end of the year.
For those interested in more detail, the following documents are scheduled for release on the www.policeact.govt.nz website in the near future:
